LEARN EOS

Learn how to create a decentralized application with the EOS blockchain.

Learn to build applications with EOS.

What is EOS?

EOS is one of the most anticipated smart contract blockchain platforms of 2018, boasting massive improvements over Ethereum. This course will teach you everything you need to become proficient in creating amazing EOS applications.

We will focus on practical knowledge to get you up and running as rapidly as possible, whether or not you have any experience with blockchain technology. Add next-level technologies to your skillset now and embark upon the career you've been dreaming of.

We will be building a decentralized auction site. This app will allow users to list items as well as bid on existing items with EOS. The course will cover the smart contract integration and frontend implementation of our auction site. We will also cover how to deploy your smart contract to the mainnet and how to host our frontend application. After completing the course you should have the skills necessary to turn any decentralized app idea into a reality.

What is EOS?

EOS is a second-generation smart contract platform that enables an entirely new class of web applications.

Secure

When you build an app on EOS (or "dApp," for "decentralized application"), you don't deploy it to a server. Instead, you deploy it to the global EOS network, a decentralized web of computers that never goes down. This network is built from the ground up using world-class cryptographic techniques, ensuring that your users (and their funds) are secure.

Fast

EOS apps are lightning-fast, with block times averaging roughly half a second. EOS introduces a concept known as delegated proof of stake that allows users to vote for delegates that will act as network validators. These validators do not need to mine, which means many more transactions can be processed. As a result, the EOS network can theoretically handle up to 100,000 transactions per second.

Cheap

Building a decentralized application on the EOS blockchain does not require micro-payments by the end user to interact with the blockchain or your smart contracts. Unlike many app hosting platforms, you can pay-as-you-go for application hosting, or defer costs to your users. This means that you can create and launch apps for just a fraction of the cost.
